Weekend Projects

Baby girl found this desk at a garage sale
and brought it home.

A little primer, a little paint, embellishments and distressing and look at it now.

This old hoosier had been left outside
to die a slow and miserable death.

A little more primer, MUCH TLC, and paint and she is now able to live out the rest of her days as a beautiful piece that someone will take home and love.

I made some more plaques that hold a 4X4 picture.

Angels are watching over you ... I love this quote.

Nothing prepared us for your smile.

And here are some old wooden panels embellished w/ an iron cross.

This cross has an old earring set in the center.

This cross has an old button set in the center and says

"Angels are watching over you ... you are loved and blessed".

I hope everyone had a good 3 day weekend.

Headed to Canton this weekend !!!!!
I can hardly wait.

Weekend in Cajun Country

My girls and the hubby treated me to a weekend at a B&B in Breaux Bridge, LA.

You've got to check this place out if you ever want to come and
relax in Cajun Country.

They fed the ducks and turtles right off the dock.

Breakfast arrived in a little red picnic basket w/ the fresh squeezed OJ in a Mason Jar.

That's me relaxing on the porch waiting for the girls to get dressed so we could go junking !

The best Shrimp Po-Boys EVER are served at Bon Creole Cafe in New Iberia, LA.
The PoBoy was over stuffed w/ seafood.

After shopping we freshened up and went out for the true Cajun experience.
Off to Mulates to enjoy Cajun music and Cajun food.

We passed a good time Cher'.

I love live Cajun Music and LOVE watching the people dance.
I can only dance after I've had a few beers or 2 much wine. :)

Grand baby girl had a stuffed potato and green salad.

She says that she doesn't eat seafood.

Our honor student !!!!

I had the Mulates special. Fried Catfish topped w/ Crawfish Etouffee.
Desirae had the Fried Seafood Platter.

Weekend Road Trip

So this weekend, me and my baby girls took a road trip.

For mothers day they had suprised me with a weekend at a B&B in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. More about the B&B later.

On our way down we stopped in Washington, LA. at the Old School House Antique Mall
and went to my favorite booth there.

Below is an old radio cabinet that she painted and made into a very cool piece of accent furniture that any young lady would be proud to have in her room.

I love, love, love this place. Her displays are fabulous. Hope you enjoy the pics.
Vintage girl doesn't have a website, email or blog so all we got is this telephone number.
